Jump Starter Crankshaft Remix
X-Amount- Jump Starter (Crankshaft Mix) by X-Amt
Another remix for your downloady and listening pleasures.
I did this one slightly differently. As I wanted to add more synths, I moved the whole track's parts into Logic Express, and remixed it there. I created some new versions of Andi's building site loops, and added some madness using Logic's ring modulator and spectral filters. Again, it was intended to be more DJ friendly.. I am considering abusing people's ears with an X-Amount DJ set somewhere soon. Offers?

A disco mix for an Indian Summer
I put together a mix of some of my current disco favourites in hope/celebration of an Indian summer. Its looking good here. The weatherman said it could reach the 80's..
The mix features old tracks, re-edits and new tracks, but it all stays firmly rooted in a funky disco box.
There are a lot of tracks here that come from the work of Al Kent. I have been an admirer and collector for a while now. Check out his blog at: http://www.milliondollardisco.com/
The voice you hear at the beginning is a 1970's Philadelphia DJ called Ramona. I stole it from this YouTube audio recording:
The track by New Ghetto Express is a cover version of the Funkadelic track "Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On".
The Dinosaur track is an Arthur Russell piece, I love his stuff, I play it out whenever I can get away with it. This one has David Byrne freaking out on guitar. I am really into the whole home-made/improv style Arthur Russell has. Genius. If you need to begin your Arthur Russell collection try this: The World Of Arthur Russell.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the mix.. please let me know if you do, and I will put more up.
Thanks for listening.

Ian Boddy
In turning us down for his DiN label, Ian Boddy said of our "Degraded" album: "Enjoyed the music, some nice feel to the grooves and cool atmospheres over the top". Thanks Mr.Boddy, we like that.

"Morodo" Bananas remix
X-Amount - Morodo (Bananas mix) by X-Amt
Here is a remix of "Morodo" for your downloady and listening pleasure.. well I say pleasure.. I wanted to do a DJ-friendly mix of Morodo, but ended up going a bit mental in the middle. It's ended up sounding more scary than I intended, but in this case, dark is good, I reckon. As a friend of mine often says "give me some filth!".

Incidentally, its called the "Bananas mix", because Andi's daughter sings on Morodo "I like bananas". She does, too.
